Sri Lankan Curry Lumprice

During 1658-1796 when Sri Lanka was colonized by Netherlands, Ethnic group known as “Burgher” introduced what is known as “Lumprice” today.

Although there are several theories about it, original roots of the “Lumprice” is from Malay Peninsula. The food culture of Netherlands and Sri Lanka fusioned and now,
it is known to be one of the most Sri Lankan cuisine.

Now a days in Japan, served lumprices are from very traditional lumprice to original lumprice that each restaurant creates. In the other words, various lumprices are available to the local customers.

In Tsukiji Peppers Cafe, our chef which have studied spice and cuisines using spices at Sri Lanka is preparing the Lumprice.

Each month on limited days (3 days usually to choose from), we prepare Sri Lankan Curry (Lumprice) under reservation for pick ups only.
We will be waiting for your orders!
