Thank you very much for your visit to the Tsukiji Peppers Cafe all the time and also for ordering our Monthly Thai Curry.
April is almost over. Cherry blossum have fallen and the early summer is coming up.
The change in the season is quite visible when you look at the seasonal ingrdients at the market.
Different from the Srilankan curry that we serve monthly, Thai curry uses various types of fresh herbs along with the various spices.
The combination of different herbs in the homemade curry paste result as different Thai curry such as Green curry, Red curry, etc.
Adding coconut milk into the homemade curry paste brings some fusion of sweetness and spiciness resulting as providing authentic Thai flavor.
At this time of the year, we have to be careful from catching cold due to temperture difference between the morning and daytime. How about some Craft Thai Curry using various spices and herbs to maintain your health in the autumn weather?
The Craft Thai Curry of May will be Green curry using fresh avalone using ingridients from the market carefully selected by our chef.

あわびを使ったグリーンカレー
Main Ingredient: Abalone
■ Green Curry with Abalone
This dish uses a homemade curry paste made with plenty of fresh herbs and the sharp spiciness of Thai green chili peppers.
Because it’s an abalone curry, we enhance its depth of flavor by blending in the liver of fresh abalone sourced directly from Toyosu Market in Tsukiji at the time of cooking.
The curry includes domestic ingredients such as Japanese eggplant, bamboo shoots, and shimeji mushrooms, along with locally sourced chicken. It’s finished as a light, soup-like curry that’s easy to eat.
■ Gapao (Thai Basil Stir-Fry)
Made with coarsely ground domestic minced meat that includes soft cartilage for added texture. This simple Gaprao stays true to the style experienced in Thailand—stir-fried with fresh holy basil (Thai basil) and seasoned only with a house-made sauce that blends several types of Thai soy sauces
