Thank you very much for your visit to the Tsukiji Peppers Cafe all the time and also for ordering our Monthly Thai Curry.

March is almost over. There was couple of days snowing in March but now the weather warmed up and spring is here.
The change in the season is quite visible when you look at the seasonal ingrdients at the market.

Different from the Srilankan curry that we serve monthly, Thai curry uses various types of fresh herbs along with the various spices.

The combination of different herbs in the homemade curry paste result as different Thai curry such as Green curry, Red curry, etc.

Adding coconut milk into the homemade curry paste brings some fusion of sweetness and spiciness resulting as providing authentic Thai flavor.

At this time of the year, we have to be careful from catching cold due to temperture difference between the morning and daytime. How about some Craft Thai Curry using various spices and herbs to maintain your health in the autumn weather?

The Craft Thai Curry of April will be Kaeng Pa using ingridients from the market carefully selected by our chef.

Same as the Srilankan Curry, 
We accept reservation either online at our official hompage using credit card or/and reservation at Tsukiji Peppers Cafe.

■Jungle Curry (Gaeng Pa)

April’s Thai curry is a forest-style curry packed with plenty of spring vegetables.

This type of curry is commonly eaten in Thailand’s forested regions (Gaeng).

In Northern Thailand, coconut milk is rarely used, so this curry does not contain any coconut milk.

Since it’s called a “Jungle” curry, it’s rich with a variety of ingredients, including vegetables, meat, and seafood, making it a hearty and soupy curry.

The seasoning is unique and quite spicy.

Yam Makua (Grilled Eggplant Yam Salad)

“Yam Makua” can be easily described as a “grilled eggplant salad.”

It consists of tender grilled long eggplant mixed with boiled minced meat, fresh coriander, purple onions, and other vegetables and herbs. The flavors of fish sauce’s saltiness, the aroma of garlic, and the fresh spiciness of chili create a mouthwatering dish.

For the eggplant, we use high-quality domestically grown “Toronasu” (a rich, creamy variety of eggplant) that tastes best when grilled.

It pairs wonderfully with the forest curry.
