Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry (Lumprice)

Entering July 2024, nearly middle of the year 2024, although in a rainy season in Tokyo, we are not seeing much rain and extremely hot days are continuing every day. How about a sri lankan curry to keep your immune system healthy with spices!

As the year moves on, seasonal ingridients are changing too.
The theme of July is “Summer is coming”

Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry is available to all customers with 1500 yen once a month under reservation.
It is for “to go/take away” only.
With in the curry, there are always 3-4 types of main curry and 6-9 side dishes that are specially cooked by our chef.

As its been, this curry is sold under reservations only. Please either order the curry with pre-payments at Tsukiji Peppers Cafe or make the reservation online at our online store.

3 Main Curry

■Chicken Curry: Basic chicken curry using 2 different Thuna Paha. Using 2 types of Thuna paha gives essence of spice with in the hearty and flavorful taste.
■Parrippu curry with Anno-Sweet potato: Simple bean based curry using Lentil beans with high sugar content Anno-sweet potato. Roasted coconut and sesame as a finishing touch.
■Manganji Green Pepper Curry: Spice flavored scramble egg stuffed in Manganji green pepper and stewed with gravy. Well cooked home-curry in Sri Lanka.

8 Side Dishes

■Japanese Sea Bass Ambulthiyal: Spanish mackerel flavored with Goraka (Sour spice).
In Sri Lanka, it is eaten as preserved food.
■Green Beans Thel Dala: Green Beans with crisp texture stir-fried with dried shrimp.
■Eggplant Moju: Deep Fried Eggplant marinated with special spice sauce.
■Haal Masso Thel Dala: Stir-fried dried small fishes and Maldive fish flavored with fresh lemon.
■Indian Spinach mustard stir-fry: Seasonal Indian spinach stir-fried with mustard oil.
■Marinated Red Cabbage: Marinated red cabbage with spices.
■Oriental Pickling Melon & Sambol: Simple sambol of Oriental Pickling Melon and Japanese Parsley.
■Spice-Fried Seasonal Fish: Seasonal Fish fried with homemade seasoning-mix
