Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry (Lumprice)

Entering February, the season starting to shift to spring and it is quite visible when you see the seasonal ingridients in the market. How about a Sri Lankan curry to keep your immune system healthy with spices!

As the year moves on, seasonal ingridients are changing too.
The theme of February is “Changing season” using various winter ingridients.

Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry is available to all customers with 1500 yen once a month under reservation.
It is for “to go/take away” only.
With in the curry, there are always 3-4 types of main curry and 6-9 side dishes that are specially cooked by our chef.

As its been, this curry is sold under reservations only. Please either order the curry with pre-payments at Tsukiji Peppers Cafe or make the reservation online at our online store.

Seasonal Seafood: Swordfish, Sea Smelt , Akamoku (Sargassum horneri)
Seasonal Vegetable: Green peas, Burdock root, Okinawa Shallot

4 Main Curries

■Swordfish Kirimalu: Sri Lankan fish curry using Swordfish and coconut milk.
■Parrippu curry with Grean peas and Lentil Bean:Simple bean based curry using our homemade thuna paha and maldive fish to rich flavor to this curry.
■Spicy Pickled Chicken: Chicken cooked with homemade spice mix marinated by vinegar.
■Egg Curry: Boiled egg stir-fried with various spices and aromatic vegetable selected by chef.

8 Side dishes

■Burdock Root Theldala: Stir-fried burdock root and walnut from Uonuma, Niigata.
■Winter Radish Theldala: Seasonal winter radish with sweetness stir-fried flavored with Maldive fish.
■Okinawa Shallot Achaar: Seasonal Okinawa Shallot marinated with homemade spice marinade.
■Akamoku & Flying-Fish Roe Sambol: Sambol made with using Takamoku known to be having a fun texture. Akamoku, Flying-fish roe and sliced Maldive fish marinated with citrus juice.
■Green Vegetable mustard stir-fry: Seasonal Green vegetable stir-fried with mustard oil.
■Marinated Red Cabbage: Marinated red cabbage with spices.
■Spice-Fried Seasonal Fish: Seasonal Fish fried with homemade seasoning-mix
■Spiced Mash Potato: Srilankan Style mash potato using Kita-akari potato known to have fluffy texture.
