Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry (Lumprice)

Entering April 2024, Spring is here, cherry blossums are blooming out Tokyo,  the ingridients we see in the market is seasonal spring ingredients. How about a sri lankan curry to keep your immune system healthy with spices!

As the year moves on, seasonal ingridients are changing too.
The theme of April is “Seasonal Spring Ingridients”

Pepper Shop’s Sri Lankan Curry is available to all customers with 1500 yen once a month under reservation.
It is for “to go/take away” only.
With in the curry, there are always 3-4 types of main curry and 6-9 side dishes that are specially cooked by our chef.

As its been, this curry is sold under reservations only. Please either order the curry with pre-payments at Tsukiji Peppers Cafe or make the reservation online at our online store.

4 Main Curry

■Jaffna Style Pork Curry: Characteristic of this pork curry is using the fresh raw red pepper.
Jaffna is a province in norther Sri Lanka with group of population existing with roots from India.
■Egg Cockle Curry: Seasonal Egg Cockle curry flavored with Green chili giving refreshing flavor.
■Napa Cabbage Parrippu Curry: Simple bean curry using lentil beans and Napa cabbage.
■Egg Curry: Fried Spice seasoned egg with gravy sauce.

9 Side Dishes

■Snow Peas and Brussels Sprouts Thel Dala: Stir-fried seasonal Snow peas and Brussels Sprouts.
■Green Beans Thel Dala: Un-Spicy stir-fried green beans with characteristic texture from the dried shrimp.
■Masala Sautéed Bamboo shoot: Grilled seasonal bamboo shoot sautéed by homemade spice sauce.
■Eggplant Moju: Deep Fried Eggplant marinated with special spice sauce.
■Marinated Red Cabbage: Marinated red cabbage with spices.
■Stir-fried Kale: Kale stir-fried with Mustard oil.
■Watercress and Whitebait Sambol: Sambol with radish to make it colorful flavored with green chili.
■Potato Cutlet: Croquette of seasonal potato and Mackerel.
■Spice-Fried Seasonal Fish: Seasonal Fish fried with homemade seasoning-mix
